· Hunted for Christmas presents Brooklyn Flea/Smorgasburg. So many fun things made from old things here. Our favorite vendor name definitely goes to “Dan’s Parent’s House” which had all sorts of old toys and figurines. I found a $500 knock-off Eames Lounge Chair which I’m still sad I couldn’t have taken home with me. Unlike the chair, there’s really not a good selection of “deal” antiques, but there was plenty of great artisan and curated vintage items.

· Brooklyn Art Library Again.We continued the search for friend’s sketchbooks and we bought sketchbooks for ourselves to work on over the next year. We perused drawings, comic books, memoirs, getting more and more inspired to join in this incredible collection.

· Museum of Moving Images. This was our favorite museum. We so wished we could’ve spent more time here. In addition some fabulous interactive displays on the magic of television and film production, they had a fabulous independent video game exhibit. After we played with the interactive areas, such as ones that that allowed you to switch out the foley for scenes from “Home Alone” and switch out the soundtrack for “Cool Handed Luke”, we ventured into the gaming area. I’ve never really had an interest in video gaming, but it was fun to try out some new games and promptly bought Machinarium when we got back as a result of the exhibit. The museum is a gorgeous piece of architecture in of itself and is also situated right next door to Kaufman Astoria Studios—home to films such as Hair, The Wiz, and Goodfellas and television shows like Where in the World is Carmen San Diego and the Cosby Show.
